After an F5 tornado tore through Tuscaloosa, Alabama, causing significant damage and losses throughout 21 school buildings, they were faced with rebuilding. As part of the rebuilding, the Board of Education for TCS not only built new facilities for students, they created a completely new structural framework for instruction, including a digital transformation across the school system.
Starting with pilot classrooms to “determine which technologies would truly transform learning,” one important focus was in testing different displays, including projection displays and flat panels. They needed a solution that the district could standardize on, a solution that could complement bright collaborative workspaces and meet key technology requirements.
